Supports automation. Boasts plenty of ways to get just the sound you're looking for. Price paid 200 Navigation is a snap.

Everything's all laid out on one screen. Very easy to use and with so many options availible. SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE This is one of my favorite vst's to play on simply because of the phat lush sound that comes out of it. Even the presets all sound great and usually presets are useless.

I would consider this one of the top quality vst's out right now. The quality of sound and interface is top notch.

General Info. Albino 3 & Soundsets. Alpha & Soundsets. Octopus & Soundsets. Albino 1 and 2, CronoX 1 and 2. DaOrgan and Organ 3. Delta III, Element P, RM 2, III and IV.

OVERALL OPINION I often get sidetracked just playing around on this. If you're a vst junkie go get this demo off the Linplug site. It sounds great. Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: Esthetix (January 2-, 2005).

Pretty standard features found in most softsynths. Oscillators, Filters, Effects, Arpegiators, etc. Has many presets in all categories. Basses, Arps, Padds, Leads, etc.

Price paid $79 Average. To use it for presets only is a snap. Building your own sounds is easy, bt you must familiarize yourself with the GUI.

There are many buttons that when pressed will display the various interfaces. For example, you may not see the arpeggiator - clicking the small 'A' button will show it while hiding the previously displayed interface.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE The best! Every sound is crisp and clean even when it's distorted. Never gave me any trouble.

I can have 8 or more instances of this running with no problems. OVERALL OPINION I love it and need it.

For synth sounds, this is always my first choice. Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: NFX ( 8-, 2005).

It may have been released almost six years ago, but LinPlug's Albino 3 remains a favourite plug-in synth for many electronic music producers. Indeed, you voted it at number 12 last year in our poll to find. It comes as something of a surprise, then, to learn that Albino 3 is going to be discontinued at the end of 2012.

It's not clear exactly why this is, but a post on the indicates that LinPlug has a new 'classic subtractive synth' in the pipeline that will 'accurately play back Albino 3 presets'. However, this statement has been contradicted by Rob Papen in the same thread. He claims that the new synth won't load his 2100+ Albino 3 presets and that he will 'never allow' his presets to work in the new product. There's further confusion surrounding the issue of support for Albino 3 once it's gone off sale.

LinPlug states that it'll support it for 'at least a year' (and offer a crossgrade option), while Papen claims that LinPlug has told him that it will be maintained for two years. Clear as mud, then, but what we can confirm is that remains on sale at the LinPlug website for €149.
